McAHA hosts landlord outreach event

McAllen Housing Authority (McAHA), soon to be known as the McAllen Housing Commission held their annual landlord outreach event on November 9th. The intention of this event was to extend the opportunity for potential and current landlords to have a space where they can learn about the process of becoming a landlord with the housing authority and ask questions to the McAHA team.

In attendance were landlords, realtors, and neighboring housing authorities. Special guests included City of McAllen Mayor Pro-Tem Omar Quintanilla, Justice of the Peace Andre Maldonado, Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid Abigail Arnold, and McAllen Housing Commission Chair Elva Cerda took part in this effort.

"Having the opportunity to invite our landlord community to this event makes it easier to build the relationships that are needed to continue to provide a safe and decent living space for our families" Said Executive Director Rodolfo "Rudy" Ramirez.

McAHA strives to positively impact the lives of their families and continues to work hard to support the increase in housing needs in the McAllen community.
