Notice is hereby given that the Housing Authority of the City of McAllen (HA) is proposing to amend the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Administrative Plan. The HCV Administrative Plan’s purpose is to inform the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the general public of the HA’s implementation of program regulation found within 24CFR Part 5 and 24CFR982.

Public review and comment are encouraged during the 30-day comment period commencing on September 15, 2019. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the HA Family Development Center located at 2501 W. Maple Avenue, McAllen Texas.

Copies of the amended HCV Administrative Plan will be available for public review during the comment period, during normal business hours at the Main Office of the HA located at 2301 Jasmine Avenue, McAllen, Texas 78501. In addition, the HCV Administrative Plan will be uploaded to this website at www.mcallenha.org. available at the following link HCV Admin Plan 2019 Edition

Comments regarding the plan may be mailed to the Main Office of the HA or submitted via website to the attention of Mr. Arnold Padilla, Executive Director through October 15, 2019.

 OPENING of Waitlist for Single Elderly & Disabled Families

 

Effective May 3, 2019, The Housing Authority of the City of McAllen will open the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Waiting List pre-application intake for Single Elderly and Disabled Families. Only 25 pre-applications per month will be issued and accepted at the McAllen Housing Authority’s main office located at 2301 Jasmine Avenue McAllen, TX 78501. Pre-applications will only be issued and accepted upon presentation of a photo i.d on Friday mornings between the hours of 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

APERTURA de lista de espera para personas mayores y familias discapacitadas 

 

Efectivo el 3 de mayo del 2019, la Autoridad de Vivienda de la Ciudad de McAllen dara solicitudes para Vales (Solo para seccion 8) para personas mayores y familias discapacitadas.  Sólo se emitirán y aceptarán 25 solicitudes por mes en la Autoridad de Vivienda de McAllen localizada en la Avenida Jasmine numero 2301 en McAllen, TX 78501.  Las solicitudes solo se emitirán y aceptarán tras la presentación de una foto i.d los viernes por la mañana entre las 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

OPENING OF APPLICATION INTAKE FOR MULTIFAMILY

The Housing Authority of the City of McAllen will open (Waiting List) application intake for the Public Housing and Section 8 HCV Programs effective December 12, 2019. Applications will only be issued and accepted at the Housing Authority’s Family Development Center located at 2501 West Maple Avenue, McAllen, Texas.  Only 100 applications irrelevant of which program is applied for will be taken between the Hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m., on December 12, 2019. Overnight camping on the property is prohibited.

APERTURA DE LA TOMA DE APLICACIONES

La Autoridad de Vivienda de la ciudad de McAllen abrirá la toma de aplicaciones para los programas de Vivienda Publica y Seccion 8 apartir del día 12 de Diciembre del 2019. Las aplicaciones sólo serán emitidas y aceptadas en el Centro de Desarrollo Familia del programa de Autoridad de Vivienda ubicado en 2501 West Maple Avenue en la Ciudad de McAllen. Sólo se aceptarán 100 aplicaciones para los dos programas de las 8:00 am a 12:00 pm y de 1:00 pm a 4:00 pm, del día 12 de Diciembre del 2019.

Está prohibido acampar durante la noche en la propiedad.
